The Assessor is responsible for listing and valuing all real and personal property within the town. Real property ownership is taken from the Land Records. Personal property must be declared by owners each October, except for registered motor vehicles, which are notified to us by the DMV.

A Property Record Card is maintained for each property in town. While the office copy is updated regularly, the on-line information is up-dated once or twice per year. To view your Property Card on Vision Appraisal, please click here: www.visionappraisal.com

The Assessor's office also takes applications for tax relief programs for the elderly, blind, totally disabled, and military veterans, as well as the State Renter’s Relief program.

The Assessor also compiles various reports, and reimbursement claims, for the State of Connecticut.
