The Middlefield Resident Trooper's Office is located at 405 Main Street. The office phone number is 349-9685. The Office consists of the Resident State Trooper, Eric Kelly, two full time Middlefield Police Officers, Michael Polansky and Scott Halligan and the Emergency Service Assistant, Karen Andrukiewicz. When the Resident Trooper or the two Middlefield Police Officers are not on duty, Patrol Troopers from Troop F in Westbrook provide coverage for the town.

If any resident has concerns about speeding on certain roads please give the Office a call or stop by and we will utilize all of our resources to slow motorists down. We will use Laser or Radar and issue motor vehicle infractions, warnings, or summons to reinforce the motor vehicle laws.

Vacation-Patrol Checks:

We encourage any residents going away on vacation to call the office or stop by and complete a patrol check sheet. We will conduct patrol checks of your residence while you're away on vacation. Furthermore, I want to encourage all residents to call us with any suspicious activity regarding suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhood. Please try to obtain as much information as possible.

Pistol Permits:

Pistol Permit applications can be picked up at the Middlefield Resident Trooper's Office on either Monday, Wednesday or Fridays. Karen Andrukiewicz will explain the fees regarding the permit. For questions regarding Special Licenses regarding firearms, you can log onto the Department of Public Safety Web Site and link onto the Special Licenses and Firearms unit web-site.

Community Events:

The Middlefield Resident Trooper’s Office continues to organize and implement numerous community events. They include the Kid-Care Identification Programs, the Gun-Lock Safety Program, the Bike Rodeo and the Child Car Seat program.
