Route 147 - Baileyville Road Closure
CT DOT is performing an emergency repair of the embankment where the train trestle crosses Baileyville Road (Rt 147). Original plans called for allowing alternating traffic to continue on Rt 147 as it did this summer when they were taking core samples and soil samples. The results of the soil samples require excavation of a portion of Rt 147. This therefore requires the closure of the road at that junction for 8-10 weeks starting October 9th.
