RAINFALL DURING THE PAST WEEK CONTINUES TO PROVIDE RELIEF FROM THE DROUGHT CONDITIONS IN CONNECTICUT…BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION AND SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 7 DAYS… Total rainfall for the past 7 days has generally ranged from 1.0” – 2.0” across the state. The heaviest rain has fallen in the NW hills and eastern Connecticut where over 2” was received in a few towns. Lower amounts of less than 1” were received in Fairfield county. The U.S. Drought Monitor has eliminated the remaining D3 designation in southeastern Connecticut. Reservoir levels are currently at 73% of capacity. […]
